We did it. We have sold almost everything we own, the house is on the market, and we are on the road. We are currently in Iowa, and are meandering over to Washington State, where I start work as a traveling physical therapist June 10. We are traveling in our 4×4 van and towing our 35 foot Jayco 32BHDS. The four kids are sleeping in the back bunkroom, and we sleep in the front room. Over the last few months, I have worked at converting this unit into something we can live and travel in by adding shelves to many closets, packing extra parts and pieces, and trying to figure out what tools to take. I am probably overpacked, but should be ready for at least some things.
Once we are parked for awhile, I will start setting up our camper network so I can upload pictures and things. Campground Wifi is currently too slow, so that will have to wait. Tomorrow, we head up to Wall Drug so that the kids can see that. We will stay there for a night and drive around the badlands some, and then head over to Mt Rushmore. We are all having a blast so far, even with the long driving days, and can’t wait to see how the trip unfolds.
