The story of a picture

August 10, 2010 David Thomas Leave a Comment

This is the start of our vacation in pictures.  We went to West Virginia again at the request of the kids, who wanted to see some of the sights again.  This is the Green Bank Telescope, in Green Bank, WV.  This is a radio telescope, and is the largest movable radio telescope in the world.  The children enjoyed the science behind the telescope, and especially the tour around the grounds.  We stayed at Watoga State Park after a misadventure at another campground, which I will describe in another post.  Watoga and Green Bank are about an hour apart, but worth it to show the kids something like this.
