This is a view of the front pocket of our camper after loading the leveling boards. As mentioned before, I use a 2×6 with a 45 degree angle cut at the ends. We camp on a lot of uneven ground, since we prefer to camp in more rustic areas. In addition to using these for leveling the wheels, I also use them under the jacks, and to level tables, stoves, etc.
Our dealer says that he has never seen anyone carry this many boards, and he may be right, but I feel that they cannot be beat for versatility around the campsite. I have even cut out part of a board, set the jack on it, lowered the tongue, and drug it sideways in the mud after being unable to tow it out straight.
This is the first in a (hopefully) series about specific things we pack in our camper while preparing it for a trip in a week.
