We have our home back. It was in the dealer for a week, and many people worked on it. Through this, I discovered several things about working with a bigger dealer, as all my prior experience was with a small family dealer.
First, it is necessary to call several times to make sure everyone knows what is going on. Several times, the person doing the work was told the wrong thing or wrong place, despite it being written down and stickered in the rig. Second, more things are possible as far as modifications. My last dealer did not want to run a network cable for the mac mini, but this dealer had no problem running not only this cable, but antenna cables as well. They will also do really any other modifications we wish as well.
While it was in, they worked on: the rear bathroom doors, both interior and exterior. The outside lock was replaced and the entire inside door including the door handle was replaced. Two of the cabinet doors in the back bedroom were replaced. In the main living area, the piping under the sink was fixed (maybe, we may have a leak there yet), and the entire vinyl flooring was replaced (the salesmen at the dealership had scratched it). In our bedroom up front, a closet door and handle were replaced as well (salesmen apparently do not for closed doors before running slides in and out). In the basement, the system was replumbed to allow for venting of the front bathroom and the rear black tank had a rather serious leak when over 2/3 full (one of the service techs took a bath. Fortunately, we had drained and flushed all black tanks before taking it in). That was also fixed.
We now have it back, and are living in it again. It has to go back in one more time to complete some repairs where the factory sent the wrong pieces (trim and light bulbs mostly), and we will have anything fixed that comes up between now and then.
Overall, I am pleased with the camper. There are some things that needed to be fixed from the factory, and some things that happened while it sat on the lot. In temperatures as low as 34 degrees, we can keep it heated with the electric/gas fireplace and have yet to use the furnace. We love the room and the layout, and are finding it very comfortable to use.
